Shaun Gale said the player he has re-signed for this season brings experience to a young group.
Boro’ have kept nine players on from last season with fan favourites such as Rory Williams, Dan Wooden, Ryan Woodford and Mike Carter all staying at the club for the 2021/22 season.
Gale said it was important to keep experienced players at the club and that he is looking to add more senior players to the squad.
“Continuity is important but they are also very good players. They’ve got a lot of experience, we need to keep experienced players and need to add some senior players to this, which we will do. They’re also a really good group of lads and all hungry to do well for Gosport.
However, Gosport haven’t just kept senior players at the club but also talented youngsters as well including Brad Tarbuck, Owen Roundell, Matt Casey, Pat Suraci and Joe Lea.
“We’ve got some good youngsters but we also need good senior players. The lads I’ve worked with them all before and they are all looking forward to the upcoming season and hopefully a full season,” said Gale.
Although it has been a busy transfer week for Boro’, Gale said there is still plenty more news to come.
“There’s a couple more I’m speaking to from last year that I’m still waiting to confirm but we’ll continue to work and what we’re trying to do is get the best players for Gosport Borough football club.
