Gosport are delighted to announce the signing of Elliot Wheeler for the 2021/22 season.

The 27-year-old, who is from the Isle of Wight, previously played for the club during the 2015/16 season.

Wheeler spent five years at fellow Southern League side Salisbury, however, he has decided to return to Boro.

The defender has also previously played for both Portsmouth and Stoke City.

“I know there’s a good squad here and they’re a good bunch of lad, who have got a good chance of doing well. Everybody knows the aim of this season, we want to be pushing at the top of the table,” said Wheeler.

Wheeler has appeared at the first two training sessions for this season. He said the team is working hard and excited for the start of the season.

“Training has been good, but tough at the same time. Everyone looks good and are excited about the upcoming season. We’re putting the hard work in now so we can make a good start to the season.”
