Shaun Gale’s team travel to London in search for vital points to boost form.

Our trip to the capital follows a disappointing home defeat against Harrow Borough on Wednesday evening, whilst Hendon go into the weekend clash after a 3 - 2 victory away at Hartley Wintney in midweek.

Shaun Gale looks ahead to the fixture and recognises “we need to start picking up points, it’s no secret.”

“We know what we can do with a football, we know how good we are and how we can carve teams open, but we know we haven’t taken our chances. We’ve got to be better in certain areas of the pitch. If we can get to grips in doing that, we will start picking up points, it’s as simple as that.

“Just because Hendon are where they are in the league, it’s irrelevant…We’ll go there in a positive frame of mind, and pick a team from what we’ve got available, and go there to try and win a game of football.

Form and H2H

Hendon currently sit bottom of the Southern League Premier with 8 points from 11 games, but having four games in hand on the next team above, and failing to win a home match in the last 5 attempts.

Boro’ on the other hand slid down to 15th in midweek, but a victory in the capital this weekend could see Gale’s team climb into the top half of the table.

The previous six clashes with Hendon have ended with 4 wins for Boro’, 1 draw and 1 Hendon victory.

Squad and fitness update

Rory Williams will be added to the list of absentees on Saturday afternoon as he serves a one-match ban for 5 bookings.

Pompey loanee Harry Jewitt-White is likely to be more involved with Gale’s side on Saturday. The Boro’ Manager explains that “he’s had more training this week and is in a better position. We didn’t want to risk him for more than half an hour on Wednesday night, he came through that so he’s available to us.”

Furthermore, in a bid to look for seniority in the squad, Gale can turn to Danny Hollands: “he’s fresh to come back in from not playing on Wednesday night.”

As previously announced in a statement made by the club, Harvey Bradbury has left the club earlier this week.

We thank any fans who are able to support Boro’ on the road, and as always thank you for your continued support.
