The 19-year-old Forest Green Rovers loanee has been an ever-present part of Gosport's season playing mostly in central midfield with cameos in central defence and up front.
Hallett has made just one substitute appearance for his parent club in last season's League Two campaign and despite being known to them as a central defender, has enjoyed a more advanced role at Boro, chipping in with four goals.
Shaun Gale is delighted to see an important player in his side staying until the end of the season. "Luke's been brilliant for us since day one."
"I watched him during lockdown playing for Forest Green, he played centre half but we knew he could play anywhere down the middle. I liked what I saw straight away and then obviously we managed to get him in for the start of the season on loan."
"The lads love him here. He's been fantastic for us - a bit of an unsung hero. Defensively what he does for us as well as he's scored some important goals. He's a good player."
